Nick Nite returns August 21

Every summer, Nick Nite is one of the most important dates on the Reef & Run calendar. The dedicated night was started at Reef & Run in 2014 following the tragic loss of Nick Johnson, who drowned while working out at just 19 years old. 

Nick was a beloved member of the local aquatics and lifeguard community as a long time Jr. Lifeguard participant, then instructor, SBHS and UCSB water polo player and SB beach lifeguard.

Money raised in Nick's name over the years has been donated to provide scholarships and safety training in the local aquatics community. Nick Night has also helped raise funds to support other members of the local aquatics community in times of need.

Nick Nite 2025 is August 21st.
