2026 Season begins Thursday, June 4th

Season opener on Thursday, June 4th is the first of 12 summer nights hosting swimming races and live music at East Beach.

Reef & Run is excited to announce the 2026 dates for our 18th season of weekly ocean-swimming races in Santa Barbara. Swimmers can choose between the Santa Barbara Swim Club 500-meter swim, the Santa Barbara Masters Swimming 1k swim and the Advanced Veterinary Specialists 1-mile swim.

In-person registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and races start at 6:30. There will also be an option to pre-register each week online. Season passes will be available to purchase soon, with a discounted early-bird rate offered for a short two-week period in May.

The last regular event of the season is August 20th. The Boat to Beach race, for which participants must qualify, will be held on August 27th.

The walk-up entry fee for each individual event during the season is $25 per night.

Besides the weekly swimming races, athletes can also compete in any of the four Stuart J. Sato, DDS Biathlons spread out through the season.
