Every week, the Reef & Run team does its best to get everyone registered in a timely manner so that the swimming races can start without much delay.
To help that cause, we’d like to make a couple of small requests of our awesome swimmers…
We start registration at 5:30pm and there is barely anyone there at that time, so it would really help if you could show up early to register. Plus, if you come early, you can get a good parking spot, register early, and then hang on the beach with your friends, all the while helping us get more people through the lines faster.
Another thing that helps is paying with cash instead of by credit card. We’ve noticed that the one thing that holds up the pace of registration the most is credit card payments.
We’re always trying to make sure everyone has a great time at Reef and Run and we think that this would be a big help for everyone… thank you!!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Anyone who would like to participate on Thursdays by volunteering as event staff can now easily sign-up using a Google Spreadsheet. Check out the link below or ask about volunteering at the registration desk.
There’s some fun positions that only take an hour, and you can still swim on the nights that you volunteer. Dedicated volunteers that help out at four or more Reef & Runs during the summer get invited to a special invite-only VIP postseason party.

BIATHLONS
The Stuart J. Sato Biathlon happens four times during the summer. The format is a 1K swim followed by a beautiful beach running course to Stearns Wharf and back, which is about 3K. Biathlons are scheduled for June 22, July 20, August 3, and August 17.
MUSICAL LINEUP
Reef & Run attendees are treated to live music on the beach every week throughout the summer. Many local favorites are on the summer schedule, which you can view HERE.
FOOD + DRINK
Included with swimmer registration are two drink tickets for hot cocoa from Chad’s, hard Kombucha from Flying Embers, or beer from Firestone. Dinner is separate… provided by Buena Onda Restaurant, a dinner plate includes two empanadas and a side salad.
