Started in 2008, Reef and Run is the premiere weekly ocean swim race series on the South Coast.
We offer three swim race lengths: 500m, 1000m (1k,) and 1-mile. On select Thursdays we also hold we also hold a beach run/swim biathlon.
After the race we provide live music, food, beer or hot cocoa, and a great atmosphere for athletes and families!
Reef & Run is held at East Beach on Thursday evenings during the summer months.
A portion of proceeds goes to supporting the next generation of ocean-loving swimmers
Reef & Run has donated tens of thousands of dollars over the years to the Santa Barbara Junior Lifeguards program and the Nick Johnson Memorial Fund.
In the Spring of 2014, Reef and Run was honored by the City of Santa Barbara for our support of the Junior Lifeguards Program.
